Functions of Union Parishad
According to the local government (Union Parishad) Ordinance, 30, 31, 32 and 33 of 1983, the activities of the Union Parishad have been mentioned. The work of the Council of the Council is basically divided into five parts. Union Council of the municipalities, police, security, revenue and administration, development and poverty alleviation and prosecution of the union areas.

 

Compulsory activities
1.Superves law and order and helps the administration in this regard.
 2.Take various steps for crime, disorder and smuggling.
 3.Perform agriculture, plantation, fisheries and livestock, health, cottage industries, irrigation, communication etc..
 4. Promotes family planning activities.
4. Assesses local resources and ensures its use.
 5.0The property of the people - conservation of roads, bridges, culverts, dams, canals, telephones, electricity etc.
6. Review the development activities of other organizations at the union level and recommend it to the uplift officer if necessary.
7. Encourage people to use healthcare.
 8. Register for birth and death, blind, beggars and the sick.
9. Manage all types of pamphlets.
